Rise and Shine is a six week course designed to introduce you to the basics of circadian health, nervous system regulation and quantum biology.

Kristen has been a constant support on my healing journey with the most profound nuances of foundational lifestyle medicine. She has helped me to recognize aspects of my own health that are accessible in usable and simple ways. I’ve grown inspired to put practices in my life that are low to no cost and have allowed my menopause journey to be transformed from crippling discomfort to liberating and peaceful.

Learn to thrive by aligning with natural light cycles.
During the 6 week Rise and Shine course, you will learn to implement circadian strategies that heal many physical and mental health disorders. You will also deepen your understanding of your nervous system, how to feel sensation in your body, and how to create a deepening wellspring of calm in your life by learning how to belong to yourself. Barriers and limiting core beliefs may be revealed during this process and will be addressed as we proceed through the course material. This is the foundation of good health, and Rise and Shine will support you in a multitude of ways that is individual to your goals and desires. More individualized work is available after this course if surprising or deeply-rooted barriers arise that need to be tended to and integrated in your nervous system.
Once you’ve learned how to build a lifestyle that honours your natural rhythms and aligns your body with nature, many people experience a new level of quality of life that you may have always longed for. You will experience increased vitality in your body, permission to rest when you need, an increase in self-love and experience a growing sense of home within. The value of a well-regulated nervous system is that we build our own resilience to be able to navigate our existing life more successfully without having to make drastic changes.
During this 6-week program, you will learn how to sync your circadian rhythm with nature and experience the profound health benefits that come from aligning with your natural environment. Each week, you’ll also learn and integrate a new mindfulness technique which supports your somatic (physical) sense of knowing yourself as well as nervous system regulation. In order to release the barriers we have to living optimally, we need this foundation of circadian health, mitochondrial health and attunement to our inner world in order to rise and fully shine. This 6-week program establishes the foundation of resources, nervous system regulation and interoception (being able to feel our bodies) necessary to then experience successful deeper healing.
Since I’ve embraced a circadian lifestyle for the last two years, I have established deep healthy sleep, renewed energy levels, a radiant sense of inner joy, increased resilience to handle the stressors of life, increased ability to train for challenging athletic endeavours and many more upgrades in my quality of life.

By implementing quantum biology principles and aligning my physiology with nature, including light cycles, grounding and understanding how nature supports our mitochondria, I have increased my vitality and resilience in order to navigate changes in my life. One year ago, I experienced a devastating heartbreak and have since been on an empowering journey to learn how to more fully belong to myself.
As a mental health OT for the last 10 years, I have supported hundreds of people on their wellness journey. I understand how challenging it can be to implement new habits and the barriers to creating and living our ideal life can be deep and varied. Often we subconsciously create an “upper limit” where we will sabotage ourselves if we start to feel TOO GOOD. I understand how to support you in raising your upper limit through unpacking core beliefs that you may have unknowingly held for your entire life. Nervous system regulation and reorganization also plays an essential role in expanding our capacity to feel joy. This is the beauty of learning to fully belong to yourself.
Rise and Shine is ideally done over 6 weekly sessions. You’ll set goals, receive educational handouts, habit tracking sheets and have individualized support through the process of implementing new lifestyle habits. These lifestyle changes only require max 20 minutes a day for you to transform your life to be a reflection of your deepest desires and an increase in overall joy and connection to nature and yourself.

After completing Rise and Shine, you will have deepened your relationship with your physical and emotional being and feel better capacitated to listen and honour the messages of your body. You will understand how to sync your circadian rhythm with the sun and create coherence in your body that supports overall health. You will also have an increased ability to feel sensation in your own body, and be guided by your bodies’ messages. This is beginning (or continuing) the journey of learning to fully belong to oneself. As a result, you’ll feel an increased amount of energy overall and increased resilience to handle stress.

Circadian Strategies
Circadian living is thoroughly studied, and yet only a select few healthcare practitioners are implementing circadian living with their clients. However, there is a rapidly growing community of people who understand the tremendous value of aligning our bodies with nature and the vitality this can bring to our being. While these concepts are often intuitive and also seem like common sense, our predominantly indoor lifestyles have separated us from the nourishment that nature has to offer us.
